Complete Home Inspection
The ECHIS Inspection:
A typical inspection takes 2½ to 3 hours, depending on the services requested.
You are encouraged to participate in the inspection. Wear comfortable clothes if you wish to see all parts of the house, and feel free to ask questions!
A detailed written report is normally mailed within 48 hours of the inspection. The report includes a summary of the most important items noted, with recommendations, for easy reference. Reports may also be emailed or faxed, typically the day after the inspection.

Wood Destroying Insects
Our FHA and VA-approved WDI Inspection covers termites, black carpenter ants and other wood-boring insects. Many mortgage lenders require this inspection. Further information on Wood Destroying Insects.
Radon in Air
Radon is a radioactive gas which results from the natural breakdown of uranium found in rocks and soil. Studies have shown that exposure to radon gas increases the risk of lung cancer. Most homes in Connecticut have a measurable amount of radon gas, and some have high levels.
Complete Water Testing
Water Pressure & Flow Testing • Water potability (bacteria, sanitary chemicals, color, odor, and turbidity) • Additional tests for lead in water, volatile organic compounds (VOC’s) and heavy metals • Radon in water.
Septic System
We provide a complete septic inspection by a licensed septic contractor. ECHIS recommends that all onsite septic tanks be pumped and inspected prior to purchasing a home.
