Eastern Connecticut Home Inspection Services has been performing home inspections and related services throughout Eastern Connecticut since 2000.
The company is owned and operated by Charles Halbert. Mr. Halbert is a licensed home inspector in the State of Connecticut (License #HOI.254). Mr. Halbert is an American Society of Home Inspectors (ASHI) Certified Home Inspector, and a member of the Connecticut Association of Home Inspectors (CAHI). ASHI is the oldest and most respected home inspector organization in the United States, and requires a minimum of 20 hours continuing education per year, double the amount required for home inspectors by the State of Connecticut.
Mr. Halbert is nationally certified for radon measurement by the National Radon Proficiency Program (NRPP) and is listed by the State of Connecticut as an approved radon measurement professional. A small number of Connecticut home inspectors carry this certification, which requires continuing education as well as a quality control program for radon measurement. Mr. Halbert is an FAA licensed drone pilot (UAS Remote Pilot) and incorporates a drone into home inspections as needed.
A Windham, CT resident for over 35 years, Mr. Halbert is active in the community. He is a member of the Windham Chamber of Commerce and has been a guest speaker on a number of occasions at Quinebaug Valley Community College’s real estate course, providing instruction on home inspection related issues for new Realtors.
